The manager of Carlisle United, Graham Kavanagh, is thankful to the chairman of the club for providing him the funds to sign players on loan.

Recently, Carlisle has signed 3 players on loan from some top class sides. Tom Lawrence has been signed from Manchester United, Craig Roddan has been signed from Liverpool, while, Josh Morris has been signed from Blackburn Rovers. All these deals got finalized yesterday which was the last day for making emergency loan signings.

One more Liverpool player i.e. Adam Morgan, was on the radar of Carlisle, but, they couldn’t secure his services as the 19 years old striker decided to sign for Yeovil Town which is a Championship club.

According to Kavanagh, Carlisle’s chairman and the board of directors should be praised for backing the management on loan signings.

Talking to the reporters yesterday, the Carlisle boss said, “We got the backing of the chairman and the board of directors and we are thankful to them for that. They provided us the money to sign the players and now, we need to repay them by winning some games.”

“I hope the fans react to this in a good way and turn up in big numbers in our upcoming home games.”

“What we are looking to do is to form a young, enthusiastic unit and we need to be supported.”

Carlisle United will play its next match against Swindon Town. That will be an away game for them and they are expected to go into that game with all their 3 new loan signings.

Carlisle United’s overall performance in the ongoing season hasn’t been that good. They have won just 5 out of the 18 games that they have played so far and they are currently at no. 17 in the League One Points table.
