The Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott has said that the presence of Sean O’Hanlon has been one of the key reasons to the unbeaten run enjoyed by the League One team recently. After being closer to the relegation zone recently, the club managed to bring Sean O’Hanlon during the January transfer window. He has proven to be one of the valuable additions to the squad, as he has played an influential role in the team over the last few matches. It has subsequently presented in Carlisle United having a three match unbeaten run in the division. It has helped them rise to the 16th position in the table.

Carlisle have managed wins over Coventry and Tranmere Rovers, while they have done the other match against Scunthorpe United since the arrival of O’Hanlon. The manager has also praised the quality of the other defenders in the squad by saying that they could play for any team in the division when they are on form. The 30 year-old was signed by the club as a free agent. This most recent spell was with the Scottish club Hibernian. Meanwhile the striker Rory Loy scored an important goal for the team after making his first appearance for more than a month.

“Sean has been immense. That’s one goal in three games he has played and I think that is seven points out of nine since he has been with us. He has been a really good addition and we are delighted with him. We have got four centre-halves now that really on form any two from four could play in most teams in this division we think they are that good. We needed some pace up the top to put Tranmere under pressure,” said Abbott after the 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers during the weekend.
